How new of a truck do I need to haul intermodal?

    Does anyone know if intermodal companies have requirements on the trucks age? I am selling my old truck and plan to buy a 99 model Pete, but don’t want to hurt my chances of finding work.

    I'll bite though.
    Your truck must be at least 20 years old or older,
    A complete pile of junk,duck taped and bungee
    Corded together.
    With at least 1 fender missing and one side of
    The truck a completely different color than the other side.
    Have you not looked at these container trucks
    Going down the highway.

    Get a mid 90's or early 2000's Freightliner with the mirrors being held by duct tape and bald tires. You'll be good.
