    I'm curious how many of you use a CPA? And do they handle more than your taxes including your future financial planning? Not just tax-related but retirement, business and estate planning? I guess what I'm getting at is I'm looking for more than just a tax person. I want to build something more than a single truck operation.

    I do, and he helped set up a SIMPLE plan for retirement. Estate planning is kinda moot with the new limits. Was helpful setting up the LLC’s.

    when it comes to business planning, I’ve found most all accountants try to drive the truck by looking in the rear view mirror. Not necessarily the best way to do strategic planning, but can be helpful in finding weakness in execution.

    I know of a company with 80+ trucks, 3hr orientation then you get keys, 60cpm, a 1099,r and paper logs.

    I actually asked him for advice before this post was made.
