With the current events that is going on, I’m being targeted because I look like law enforcement. I’m getting followed, harassed...can’t even get gas without someone yelling “pig” lol. The only difference between armed security and law enforcement is that our platecard and badge is silver. Gold is for law enforcement. This week I’ve started going to and from work without my uniform because it’s getting dangerous. The company I work for is getting a contract with a gated community (has lots of wealthy people), and the client wants armed security with patrol rifles and they’re paying $14/hr. I’m like get out of here with that crap lol.
Anyway what are your thoughts guys? Should I go back to Reefer or relocation? I’m going to a job fair in my area this weekend, Interstate relocation moving company.
My other option is to save a bit of money and take a heavy equipment course that is sponsored by CAT. I don’t know which specialization yet, boom, crane, digger, or overweight/oversized..
Should I go back into trucking?

I would make the switch and probably give the heavy equipment course a shot. If you don't like it you could probably use what you learned in heavy haul trucking.

Reefer or re-location company are two good choices.
Which state do you live in?

Try heavy equipment, stay the hell away from trucking. Can’t wait to get out after almost 31 years.

No, don't get in to trucking. Drive a forklift instead. Plenty of opportunity for advancement in all of the fine warehouses I frequent.

I would take the heavy equipment course.
Dan.S and tommymonza Thank this. -
Heavy equipment would let you use your Cdl in combination, makes you a more flexible hire imo.
