MP8 2012 Final drive

    Sitting here, 2012 with 522,000, digesting the information of MP8 final drive having an issue and an estimate of $16,000 for repair with 80 hours of labor. I am told the repair will use the same parts as the original.

    1 year unlimited mileage is little comfort looking at this point with like parts repair.

    Anyone else have a history or information on this situation??

    Is that the Mdrive auto? With final drive in it or are you talking about rear ends? If it's the trans m drive/ Ishift. Buy a new buy a used or find a shop that can convert from auto to manual a used auto could be found for 5-7 k + install. Warrenty is a question other then it works. Id look for a crashed truck and buy one from it it will be used and if sourced from a newer truck lower mila
