Looking to buy a 2012 freight liner day cab. Was wondering which engine you guys suggest between Cummings and Detroit. Both have about 185000 miles. Price and equipment almost exactly the same.

I am presuming a DD13 engine? The 13 IS NOT the 15 in terms of reliability and ease of working on (which equals labor $$) crammed in a day cab engine bay. Remember the cost of a "one box" replacement vs. cost of Cummins dpf/doc replacement cost is triple. Then again, Cummings does not produce an engine. Cummins does. Shop owner just thinking out loud..........

2012 was a bad year for Cummins. Common issue to drop a liner before 500k
