One of my 1st loads after I "gradated" "Diesel truck driving." was a beer load from Strohs W-S, NC to Columbus, OH. It was a long wkend & I only had 380 miles for 3 days. My plan was to drive to Columbus non-stop get a motel for the wkend.
I didnt know the load shifted until I got to the receiver. I had 2 load belts on it, not enough but all I had. I cant recall if all the beer was on the floor but I spent 2 days restacking. To my credit I never dumped beer again in 20 yrs otr.
With a beer load I got the ok from disp to break the seal to check the load. Then every few hours check again. Before I got to the consignee I seal it for good. Man I hated hauling beer esp W-S to Columbus, that dam tpk with all those curves & all that beer could be a recipe for disaster. good times.
