Instant O/O and Load boards

Thank you Medicineman and southern. I don't sugar coat anything. I feel a person shouldn't jump through hoops to do what they want to do. In the end it may cost them or one of us our lives. Now yes I have made rookie mistakes, and still do. Hell I backed up to a trailer and put the gladhands through the headache rack. Thankfully I didn't break the gladhands off the trailer!! That's pretty stupid if you ask me. I'll admit it, but I didn't go out and get my authority and truck when everyone is telling me not too either. I also haven't wrecked near as much stuff as most guys have thankfully yet. I'm sure someday I might. If I do, I do. If you don't want people's opinions on a public forum, either good or bad, because you can't always have good, then maybe you should shut down the forum and just talk amongst yourselfs in emails, and Instant messages, and whatever other form of communication you Super truckers do. The point of my post was maybe he should have listened to other people before jumping ship to buy his own truck, and get his own authority. Sorry for disagreeing with everyone but that's how I feel, and if that's a problem, then deal with it yourself. No reason to talk trash about a guy just because he has his own opinion. That's lower then low.

 

Likewise. No reason to trash talk a guy because his tranny blew out on him either. He's made mistakes, that is clear. He's admitted them also. Fact is, he has freight available to him to make money. He needs to learn (and he's learning FAST) to control his overhead, but it certainly appears to me that this latest issue is not something he could have foreseen or prevented. He's not stealing your freight or undercutting your rates.

Be big enough to admit when you've spoken out of line and made a mistake.

 

I think your post might have garnered a little more respect if you had more than 15 posts and you had taken the time to introduce yourself to the forum.

But you came in guns a blazin with a Super Trucker, Live to Truck, Truck to live, If you got it, I brought it signature.

I'm sure you call it like you see it and all that, but there's no reason to kick a guy when he's down unless it just makes you feel better.

Has Rob made mistakes? Hell ya, he'll even be the first to admit it. But to tell him to sell everything and give up is nobody's decision but his.

Mine came with no manuals either. I went on Freightliner's website and they had one online that I printed out. I read it (almost a ream of paper) and punched holes and put it in a 3-ring binder. It stays in the truck.

Hey phil I drive a 06 387 my air dryer did the same thing and im sure your parts replacer can by pass that until you can get the dryer I think it's like $200 bucks but mine has and is still bypassed been like that for 8 months now

let me tell you my fello floridian,there is money to be made out here,im doing just what your talking about<<<<and its comeing around,dont know what you do for a liveing now but i was a roadway super,our faithfull charlie crist has screwed us in the construction field,he just lost 1.9 BILLION from the use it or loose it stinulous package wich means no construction work !!!!!!!!!! he to busy trying to become a senator,and yes my facts are correct ,i have been doing this for 20 yrs and have good inside information,and as i have driven around this fine country of ours from ga.to chicago to texas to a 6 hundredmillion dollar contract my old company just piced up in luaisana,,,there is road work going on with big signs saying its from the renvestment act(stimulous package) now theres a good question to ask mr charlie in tallahasse

 

I'm going back to my original thoughts on your lack of reading and comprehension. It's not about you having an opinion, it's about your timing. Put yourself in his shoes (I know, I know, you're too good to end up in his shoes, but just humor me). You're broke down, at a scale house, several hundred of miles away from home and any help, your funds are limited from coming off a breakdown. Not feeling so hot are ya? So now would be the best time for some guy to come and tell you you're an F up and to give up and sell everything because you're hurting other drivers by driving the rates down. That's the epitome of kicking a man while he's down. So keep your stinking opinion, yes you are entitled to it, for a better time. Let him get out of the friggin scale house before you decide to chastise him for driving freight prices down.
By the way, you show your lack of knowledge in the industry if you think Pharm is driving the rates down by himself.
