I don't know who that is, but being she has a youtube channel, there's no way she'd make up a story about being robbed to get more views/subscribers.
Sorry, 5yrs of trucking has made me a huge cynic.

I don't think it's too dangerous. Not more so than some neighborhood's I've ridden my bike thru when I biked to work in Hampton roads lol.
Don't walk talk or act like a victim and you are well on your way to a peaceful life. If you dress flashy and have lots of expensive stuff in your cab you're asking for unwanted attention.
That said...I had a ladder stolen off my truck in less than half an hour. Joliet area.
I don't leave my truck to go inside to the ladies room at truck stops after dusk. And I usually keep my front curtains closed once I park. I might leave the sides open. I'm not hiding. But I'm not asking for new friends.
But I've been known to do a pretty thorough shower on the catwalk in the dark at rest areas!! Depends on where you are. Situational awareness can save your life. Trust your gut. But not most people lol.650cat425, farmerjohn64, homeskillet and 2 others Thank this. -

I'm definitely not scared of my own shadow, I just don't care to deal with bums, blowhards, and steering wheel holders. I agree that the average driver in all but the worst fecal holes has nothing to worry about, and even in "bad stops" very little to worry about other than potholes. For me I'm like Qbf, not out here to make friends, just to do my job and be left alone.
