Oh man...I don't know how this happened. Dropped a load in Colorado, was sent to pick up another one.

Apparently the load was supposed to go across town. Then I would grab another trailer and take it to Nebraska. I looked at the order, got mixed up and somehow got it in my head to take the first trailer to Nebraska.

I let dispatch know but Jesus...I'm in a form of shock over how bad I screwed this up.

You're ###### right I won't. Called my trainer for some advice. He thought it was funny as hell so I "might" be ok just this once. Who knows.

Chock it up as a learning experience, driver. Even the most intermediate drivers make mistakes here and there. And for the record, that’s not as big of a screw up as you made it seem like. I came here thinking you tore something up lol

Yeah I get it man. Had a buddy I let know about it and he sent me a photo of his truck half buried in mud in Florida tonight.

I guess it was just such a stupid mistake. I looked at a pre planned load and just can't figure out how I got it into my head that was the final destination.

Nah man. When it comes to safety I'm well past paranoid. Habit of being a tanker in the Army I guess.

My dispatcher was off tonight. Shot him a text so he didn't come into work and have stroke.

For what it’s worth, a wrecker bill is usually much pricier than a few gallons of fuel burned up. Again, don’t take it too hard. I made a similar mistake at a customer near my house about 3 years ago. I needed to take trailer 279161 up to Illinois, but I grabbed 279167 since I assumed it was a typo on the bills, which is common at this customer. Turns out it wasn’t a typo. 279161 was indeed there, somewhere discrete that I missed, and I didn’t realize I was hooked to a load going to New Jersey til I hit Charleston, West Virginia. Think of all the fuel I burned going through West Virginia compared to your trip to Nebraska lol
