I had another trainer named John this time around. Being out of trucking for 1 1/2 years, they insisted that we refresh. My trainer was good. I didn't think I needed any training, but I am glad that I did it. I learned some things.

My GF did not have a good experience with her trainer. She got a bad trainer the first time too.

 

Gotta love it when given a wrong trailer number and 30 min down the road get a call saying turn around and go back. Ran up against my 14 waiting for the right trailer to arrive yesterday. Didn't make it to WM til after 0900 today to drop then hook my load to Vancouver WA to get to Yakima for hometime. Figures I hook to the trailer and three marker lights not working. Got caught up in traffic too this morning with two trucks rolled over in TN. Due Tuesday 1300 but not going to make it with all the delays and the load being heavy. 77,000 lbs not going to go fast in the mountains, lol! The paper work says ELD exempt though. Not sure whether to believe it or not. Though if true I can possibly make on time delivery.

 

Current load is a Hill Phoenix load going to a grocery store under construction in the outer reaches of the Bay Area. Stopped in Kingdom City, MO for the night. Heading to Sidney, NE tomorrow where we will take a 34 before continuing our journey westward.

You know, I’m all for drug testing to be able to come back to work, but a complete DOT physical AND drug test where they have TO WATCH ME FLIPPING PEE is a little over the top. WTFH?
