Why do so many reefer companies run as team drivers only?

Because only teams can make up the slack after the shippers make the truck sit for so long just picking up the load...

 

My wife an i run team an 2800 miles is approx 4.5 shifts or 2.5 days.

 

That’s still a third day.

 

Or get hollered at (were the H you at) for 3 days solo from some shady produce broker when you can get your co driver to drive and share the abuse.

 

Taking 40. From Cali to mount airy nc. Close to five complete shifts. Running 72 the whole way even in tn. Keep a eye on that green light thou. Reefer runs out 9f fuel. And thats that

 

Yea especially if you can't off load then reload an keep rolling. If your sitting till the following morning for all that then it's pretty much a wasted day.
