according to the guy carrying the sandwich board over his body, the world will end on December 27th, 2023.

so, no use for those trucks, sorry, but that guy was really serious, and i believe him 10,000%

best if everyone just prepares for the end now.

    Phase 1: limited operating area
Phase 2: still limited operating area
    Phase 3: nationwide

Pretty big jump between phases 2 and 3 for only being one year apart.

I hope they've got good lawyers. The moment a driverless vehicle so much as scuffs anything I own I'll sue anyone and everyone that had a hand in creating them.

They'll be sitting in some east European country, or China, at a coffee house with their tablet, hacking into the system.

Poof.... where did the truck go?

Only if they lose more money than they're losing with a human behind the wheel. If they save a lot more money not paying drivers than they're paying out in lawsuits, the drivers are going to disappear. Maybe it's time to go finish my electronics degree.

LoneRanger, PoleCrusher and AModelCat Thank this.

CEO of Failed Self-Driving Truck Startup Drops Dire Warning in Farewell Message

The driverless trucks aren't AI. AI definition has changed to something it's not.

Let's think about this for a minute. Really.

The "AI" is as good as it's programming. 95% of "American" programming is done by subcontracted third-worlders with fake degrees at 9.00/hr.

As long as it's Indians doing the grunt work, it's never going to happen.
