I agree I don't qualify at all to give advice, I wonder why the fail rate is so high, I believe its at 76% so only 24% success. Can get better odds in vegas playing 3 card monte on the street

I think a big part of the problem is the megacarriers always target brand-new drivers with the lease-purchase scheme. The new drivers barely know how to drive a truck and how to maximize their output. Of course they're going to fail.

If you find the right program , i think its a great way to learn the business without taking so much risk of actually owning the truck and going bankrupt if u do fail. My company has a fair program and a high success rate. The knowledge i have gained from coming here, really has been priceless. Good and bad , ive been able to see all sides of it .

Absolutely, they want naive people just like car salesman. The successful ones are probably ones who do research and read the contract.

Oh it is. Theres some that make it work though somehow. Schneider finance leases trucks, you can take anywhere also. When i called and asked about that it was 9 hundred something a week for a used one plus maintenance deduction (I think) and new one was over $1000, also had a maintenance thing i think to. Or maybe it was just a recommendation on the maintenance. Either way I was just curious what the prices were.

Dont kniw how true it is, but.... I have heard of guys making a truck payment of nearly double that each week, or at least trying to.

Not did I say you said it was a good truck ... You stated a rather inconceivable concept as a viable concept.
