Nope. I didnt. You apparently didn't read. Again, I was explaining something a bit too complicated for you, chief.

No where did I indicate a navistar was good. Good was even just like this, "good". Was more compare and contrast of a lease from a place like lone mountain with monthly payments vs the alternative of l/p with a carrier paying near that or more weekly. If its an inconcievable concept to try to lease a truck with payments that are monthly of a whole lot less than weekly payments, and not be stuck with the carrier you go to then I guess thats your concept.

Anytime someone’s trying so hard to convince Me of anything. I have to question their motives. I’ve met a lot of Drivers, who tell Me they make $1300, or $1700 a week. Whatever. Ofcourse they have to cover maintenance. It rarely ends well. Been going on for years. In the 80s North American Van Lines was exposed for swindling Drivers. Some Trucks had 7 Owners in 3 yrs.

I can give a substance that will make you feel SO GOOD and so happy and so wonderful that it will literally blow your mind. Some people say it's like 10 thousand orgasms all at once. It really is that good of a program.
Would you like to try it ???

There is a down side to it but it doesn't happen to everyone. Some people can just walk away from it. You don't even have to sign a contract , we call it just walk away deal.
    Want to try it ?

    It could be so good.
    Want to try it ?

If you don't like it you can just walk away.
    Want to try it ?

Why would someone offer you this ?

That is my ? To you why would someone offer you that ?

WOW! a hundred per week seems a lot more reasonable, I know trucks are expensive especially new ones but still

I have tried to analyze the human side of L/P and always wonder what makes a man think that even though Bob, Tom, Dick, and Harry failed that they will make it. Do people think they are that much better than the next man or the next? I mean no doubt if you put your head down and run run run you have a chance. Seems the best route would be to save your money and buy your own.

I realize many people are just making it so I don’t fault them for trying. I read awhile back of a couple doing a L/P at prime and they Burned through $100k in savings trying to stay afloat and had to turn the truck in... I don’t know the full details of what happened but with that $100k and and the $14k that prime wants down for an L/P they could’ve had a really nice truck.

That being said there are those that do it and do good. They seem to be more businessman or women than trucker if that makes sense.

Wow 100k you would think they’d walk away and buy one it seems most of them offer no issue walk away. I agree though would much rather outright buy a truck than do an l/p deal but my credit is t the greatest though I may qualify for possibly a 50k loan but doubtful much more. I do make decent money being a heavy equipment operator but I really do wanna go OTR to travel and see the country but I guess with everything going on I do wanna wait until the country settles down.

With no experience in trucking, you'll have an expensive problem buying a truck and finding any broker or load board freight.
Better check insurance prices also because that will cost more than the truck and trailer.
www.OOIDA.com is one website to study. It's a business website for the owner-operator.
