New and considering entering the job/life but not sure of some things

I'm in Seven Hills and can see the Las Vegas Strip from my HOA.
Like it here because there's usually a nice breeze. Just looked out the window and the tree leaves and palm trees are dancing with the breeze.

 

I love it here. Moved here from Tennessee.
Excellent schools for children where I am also.
Don't feel the heat much here because of low humidity.
Can go for a long walk when it's 106 degrees and barely break a sweat.

 

Wonder if the lottery ticket store is open at the California state line.
Haven't been there since the virus took over.

Xanax could be a problem since one of it's side effects is drowsiness. Anxious people really should avoid trucking until they develop other ways to manage. I mean, the traffic antics alone throws even normally calm people into a fit sometimes. Not kidding. You drove a cab, so multiply that by 5 and that's trucking. Every day trucking. Just be aware of that. I do know some drivers who have been on similar medications for the same reasons and they can still drive. It is not necessarily a dis-qualifier unless you omit the information.

Weed will be clear of all urine tests between 30 - 45 days. Hair tests, however, are a huge issue for you. Although those tests go back at least 90 days (for every 1.5 inches of hair) and your body will be clear after ceasing use, it really does take 180 days for you to be able to test from hair on your head. Head hair grows faster, so after 90 days get it cut. That may get rid of contaminated hair, but may not leave enough for samples. That takes another 60 - 90 days to grow enough clean hair for testing.

They can take body hair, but it grows REALLY slow, so that's a bad choice if you've used at all. After shaving contaminated body hair, it really is 9 - 12 months for it to grow back to the quantity needed for testing.

To be fair, he hasn't touched weed since March. He wouldn't have ever smoked if it weren't recommended by his doctor, that's what I'm gathering from reading his post. Xanax is a legit prescription drug. He would be ok, as long as he can prove it was prescribed to him. OP, make sure you keep your pill bottles to cover your rear end. Keep all prescriptions that your doctor wrote for you. Get all the way clean, and you should be fine. If it's a urine test, you'll be good. I know the hair test takes a little longer, but I am not sure about the length of time it will show in hair. There are still many companies that use a urine test. Only @Chinatown has those answers lol.....and by the way, you arent crazy for going into trucking in your late 40s. My uncle did it in his early 50s.

 

im sorry but i dont want somebody next to my family or anybody elses, in control of an 80k pound rig under the influence of xanax. that is not a legal drug to take and drive
