My SO just picked up his new (to him) Volvo 860. He is a company driver and this is a lease truck. I/We have a couple of questions.
Not sure if it is a 2019 or 2020. He is driving and hasn't had a chance to check the sticker. The truck has 150k ish miles.
Do anyone have a solution for the lack of desk? It seems cooking or doing paperwork is going to be difficult without a flat surface. Any cool solutions that anyone has come up with (purchasing the workstation is not really an option)?
Is the operator manual available anywhere? Getting help from his company is sometimes difficult. We are trying to find out as much as possible on our own.
Any good tips? It seems, even with all the little cubbies, that he is missing a pantry. Any suggestion of where to store things?
Any cool accessories? Is there any thing that can be added to where the cup holders click in? Any place to look?
Thanks

He can put the table up

I believe that is an option that he doesn't have. He has a full lower bunk.

Socal Xpress and Snailexpress Thank this.

I use a wooden TV tray to cook on and do paperwork. Easy to store away.
Eddiec, baha and jlzeitler62 Thank this. -
You can put velcro starps to hold tv table to floor so it won't fold over while you are driving?

- He is running low on data right now.
- He will be out of the country later today and will not have internet access
- I was trying to come up with some options that perhaps I could take care of before he got home this weekend (Amazon Prime is my friend)
- I was only in the truck for a few minutes while helping him move all his gear, but I have been checking out the youtube videos, etc to try to get some feel for what is there.
- I may not be a truck driver, but I have some knowledge. But I am fairly good at research and thought I would use those skills. Truck Forum has been a help in the past, I thought I would try here again.

Depending on the bed set up
The 860 has a camper type bed. Center lifts up.... has 4 Cushions the 2 at the head and food end stay as the seat and the 2 in the middle are the back rest when in the table mode... now with that said the last driver may have tajen out the cushions and put a mattress instead....
The other option they use is a recliner..
The driver side lifts up so you can watch tv.... if it has this option then in the middle of the back wall is a pannel (between the mattress and the wall) that lifts up and flows down across the bed like a TV tray
