    If you work for a mega.
    You cant listen to music.
    You can’t stop every couple hours.
    You must start driving exactly at the end of your ten. You must drive 11 hours. With exactly and only one half hour break.
    :biggrin_2551::biggrin_25526::biggrin_25520:
    EDIT: you don’t need to eat or drink either. What do you think they give you a 34 for? :biggrin_25522::biggrin_25518::biggrin_25517:

    NO you cannot listen to music, talk radio, or pod carts. You must sit there and drive. Listening only to your own thoughts of what your missing at home, and why didnt Becky sue answer the phone all last night. She must have been knob slobbering on Jeff and Ken.

    Double NO you cannot stop AMD walk around. You must drive for exactly 8 hours like a machine. Then stop for 29 minutes and 53 seconds. Put truck in drive, push in the red and yellow buttons. Count to 3 and apply pressure to the accelerator pedal.

    I like listening to loud music, on the Interstate sometimes I bring the radio volume up to 30, that's probably the maximum. I had concerns the hwy patrol would stop me for listening loud music (which prevents hearing outside sound signals effectively) but they never did. I don't recommend you listening to loud music.

    Listening to music (not too loud) is probably something your company would be for than against, if you'll be driving 11 hours a day in silence, you may get lost in the tunnel vision and monotony of it all. Listening to music keeps the brain active. Podcasts/radio talks can lead to cognitive distraction for some people.

    Music is great, but don't be one of those drivers who backs into a spot at a truck stop and blares the music loud while drivers on either side of you are trying to sleep. I had to knock on a neighbor's door a couple days ago to tell him to turn it down.

    I don't do that in the parking lots, nor in the city or at speeds below 60mph, only on the Interstate outside of urban areas. At midnight after driving for 7 hours, on top of averaging 3000+ miles/week with no days off/home-time for months, loud music helps me not get into the danger of dozing off, I think it's more healthy than energy drinks and pills which I do not use. I definitely don't recommend loud music but it's an option on the Interstate.

    You don't even have to listen to music on the radio. I used to listen to Coast to Coast Radio until the stupid caused my radio to burn up. That pissed me off. Now I listen to music by decade on SiriousXM.

    I think we are in for another slew of posts from the OP. OP will never be a driver, just likes to post on this site. I believe this is at least the 3rd incarnation from the same lonely soul.

    The OP has already been back a couple of times. Luckily, the staff has been on the ball and nobody has had to suffer through too many of his/her posts.
