Things are staying relatively busy. Left SLC Tuesday, onroute back to Spring Hill I was given a plant transfer from Spring Hill to Church Hill. And then I pick up a load Saturday morning headed for Dallas for Tuesday morning so skipping that restart last weekend didn't bite me in the buttocks. And I have enough time on this load to get my APU serviced, get to the DFW area and then get a restart...plus 2800 miles.
The SLC unloader gave us (Wy-Moore) a backhanded compliment. When I checked in, it was dark, and he couldn't see what company was bringing in that thin glass from IL...once it was my turn, I backed in, unstrapped and cleared out. That customer's safety policy is, no drivers allowed on the trailer or dock when they are unloading. You have to be in your truck, at a picnic table next to the dock or outside. Once he was done, as I was closing my conestoga, he met me at the back of the trailer and said ''man it was a relief to see your company's truck backing in, I was affraid it was Maverick, and I wasn't in the mood to clean up glass"...with a puzzled look I asked if they bring in a lot of damaged glass. He said, "with this thin stuff, it's a regular occurrence. It is almost like the way they secure or the way their trailers are set up, it breaks the thin stuff, but with you guys, we almost never see any damage"...and my reply was...have the person who orders the glass specify who they want to haul it, we'll be glad to handle it...if I keep this kind of attitude up, I'm gonna ruin my bad reputation.

The world has officially gone friggin nuts. Growing up, and most of my adult life, the only holidays that were moved were ones like Memorial day, Labor day etc...Ones like Christmas and New Years were celebrated on whatever day they fell on...the 4th was celebrated on....THE FORTH OF JULY...,and if it fell on the weekend, then nobody took the Friday or Monday off...but now, if a holiday falls on the weekend, people take an extra day off. Got a message from the Op's manager this morning saying he will only be in until noon, which made me say 'who gives a flying fornication'. But then I stopped by the Church Hill shop to get my APU serviced...and both the shop and the office in CH are closed for the holiday...WTF!!! Talked to the breakdown guy, and asked where else to have it done, he said Thermoking...but they're not open today either...

On my way out to SLC last week, my urologist called and said we need to schedule my next kidney stone treatment. When I did my follow-up visit, they took an x-ray. Since it had been a few weeks, I figured everything was fine...nope. He said that I have an even larger stone in the same kidney and recommends getting it taken care of sooner rather than later. He suggests doing the treatment that @ncmickey said he had done, a lithotripsy. As long as it hurts less than the pain I went thru with the last one, I can deal with it. He says there is a 65-70% chance of succssfully breaking it up enough to pass, otherwise they have to do it surgically which means longer recovery time. Now, the only problem...Florida is spiking with beer flu cases right now, and non-emergency hospital treatments are being limited in places, including the county where I would have this done (#### college town!!!). We are both hoping that it doesn't try to pass while I am out here on the road, if the last one got lodged, this one would likely do the same.

Was out in Church Hill on Saturday looking at houses. Saw your yard and one truck heading East towards Kingsport. Nice area but too far out in the boonies for me.

I get my 1st real challenging live load tomorrow. Getting 3 different sizes of glass on one double drop. Not sure how many of each, but the load info shows 130 x 204, 108 x 144 and 96 x 130...and it loads out of Wichita Falls where the afternoon highs tomorrow are gonna be in the upper 80's, which beats the highs the rest of the week up there that are suppose to be in the mid to upper 90's
ncmickey, Dale thompson and Farmerbob1 Thank this. -
Dallas is supposed to hit 100 this coming weekend. Gonna make yard work and my woodworking real fun
