I am attending CDL school (private school). Last week, I failed my CDL test. Right in the beginning, the air brake test. Yes, I was very very nervous. Of course, it was an ego crusher for several reasons. One, our instructor stated that if all seven of us pass on the first try, he will get a plaque made with all our names on it and hang it in the classroom. He has been an instructor for three years and has not had a class (4 or more students) where all students pass at the first go. So it was crushing for me because out of seven students I was the only one who failed the first go. It took me a couple of days to get over that.

You're not the first to fail the test and you sure won't be the last.
Learn from the experience and get on with it. Concentrate on learning the exams. The real education starts when you get out on the road.

i always told my students, "read the question VERY SLOWLY.....then read the answers, VERY SLOWLY..

the first answer that pops up into your brain, is the correct answer.

NEVER add a word or subtract a word from ANY question.

also, i used to recommend, studying at least in short bursts, like for about 15 minutes at a time, put the book down for about 2-3 minutes, study again. and so on and so forth.

Everyone learns differently. For me I read the test over and over and over. But nothing beats miles in the cab. Take your time and focus on your duties.

I bet he was probably lying that nobody in his class has failed the test. Just study hard don't mind others and go get your cdl.
