Help-Day Cab Authority?

Good idea but day cab rules are tough.

I'm not qualified to give to much of a response thats why I put "following" in my response.
But while you wait on the o/o 's to get here I would suggest you use the search bar for other day cab threads. So you can more narrow down your questions.
To kinda refine your idea so to speak.

 

You’ll need insurance for the authority to be active. If you search the forum, new authority insurance is generally over $20k a year.
You also need to talk to whoever you’re going to rent from to see if they will work with a new authority.

 

How do you figure you won't have to have up front cost? You will have to have insurance, your DOT/MC number and be incorporated to rent a tractor.

 

Hook to a bucket/hopper and you won’t need authority to haul exempt commodities, I have no idea what the rest of those jumbled letters mean but you buy a daycab like any other truck, although atleast a small 40” sleeper would be a huge benefit

 

No. You might be able to purchase physical damage and collision insurance - but Primary liability, Cargo Insurance would be the responsibility of the renter.
