Yep fuel island takes it. Specially when every single pump , nobody is getting fuel. Just ffing around inside.. Another one is the guys that pull out right in front of u and then take 16 and a half miles to pass the other guy , all the while building up a line of traffic behind them for 3 miles

Lots of little pet peeves about driving and just etiquette out there but the one grand scheme of them all that really irks me? Is how truck drivers get blamed for almost everything that goes wrong. And how little respect truck drivers get. It’s just so messed up to me because we hold all the power it’s just nobody wants to recognize it. Having been out here for two years I’ve completely realized the truckers could indeed shut this country down overnight. Yet what do we do? Like a puppy who’s been kicked across the room we keep coming back more and more hoping they “love us”.

The power that truck drivers could have in this country would be unprecedented to almost any other industry yet we never take advantage of it.

Not all, but many truck drivers I’ve encountered over the past two years are some of the most ethical, hard-working, decent people in this country and yet you allow yourself to be treated like dirt by shippers, receivers dispatchers etc...and such.

Now on a smaller scale? I got about 102 pet peeves that irk me out there!

"Oh, don't worry. We'll start unloading you eventually."
-An actual honest-to-God thing a customer said to me when the company wanted an update 4 hours after I bumped the dock
Oh... oh THAT I HATE. Literally my worst fear every time I had a reefer behind me was some ####### shutting it off while I was asleep...

I agree. We clean 'em off when we need to. Our drivers are dialed in on that.
It just irritates me when the operator stands there drawing full pay and doesn't lift a hand to help.

My biggest pet peeve is drivers that will do 65 and when I pull out to pass them I can't get them off my ACC bumper. I get that more from 4 wheelers than big rigs but I get it from big rigs too. I actually closed the gap between me and a big rig the other day in about 30 seconds from being about 1/3 mile back but when I went to pass my ACC bumper sat on his driver door for almost 10 miles at 71mph. My CAS clocked him at 64 when I went to make the pass. ####### left me hanging in the left lane. I was some kinda mad.

And once I got past him he was gone in no time. I left him in my dust. WTF, why do these ####ers do this?
