Yeah, that's dumb. I don't know why they wouldn't just tell you outright in the conversation.

 

I'm going to start asking for zips. I was burned on this this week but it was my fault. Oakwood Ohio (Dayton) is not the same as Oakwood Village (Cleveland)! I have made this mistake being in a hurry one time before. Won't happen again. By the time I caught it I was at the pick up putting in my GPS where I was headed. Then the rate made more sense. It wasn't bad even with the additional near 200 miles but I certainly would've negotiated for more had I known.

Edit: I should add this isn't a shady brokerage or him trying to pull one over on me. Rate con had the correct zip, I just didn't look at it after I had the closer city in my head. Newb error.

Were you picking up in Oakwood, or Oakwood Village?

 

Gtz as in global tranz ? I booked a load with them like maybe 2 months ago . Some metal racking to a new home depot dc they building in kent washington area... well supposedly i was sposed to get the racking washed at a streakin beacon before delivering. No info of that on BOL or rate con. Not to mention , no contact info for jobsite , which made it even worse because i couldnt call to tell them i was coming. The guy @ jobsite was actually the head guy and the one that dealt with gtz and their brokers... dude he was so pissed... like cartoon smoke coming out of the ears pissed...I guess they paying extra for the washes for all the trucks, and broker just pocketed the money.. all that info is supposed to be on paperwork, nothing on mine .... he called up broker on the spot and ripped her a new ### . I kinda felt bad for her but not really lol

 

Are you brokers seeing less trucks out there? Drivers staying off due to virus and etc?
