Since I never particularly cared for Chumlee's character on that show, since he was a sloth, thief, liar, and all-around dumb ###, I gleefully keep checking Wikipedia for confirmation of his demise, but am always disappointed.
And shame on me for repeatedly falling for this ruse. As the old adage goes:
Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

Surprised they didnt get the driver for unsecured load. All the log haulers up here use a heavy wired rope to cinch it all down.

I always said it was a bad day for the person in the back when the ambulance itself has an accident. Driver not charged? That doesn't seem right either,,
-
yeah, i'm with you guys, failure to secure the load charges should be followed up.
Bud A. Thanks this. -
Log trucks are everywhere in Georgia (for some particular reason they like to hang out along the I-16 corridor between Macon and Savannah). Most of them don’t have any load securement.Either way, hanging around one of them you’re asking for trouble!

Don't know what they run in Georgia for log rigging. Typically in Western Canada 3 or 4x 3/8" cables tossed around a load of long logs was considered proper securement (at least back in the mid 2000's it was). Heavy steel bunks keep the logs contained so the wrapers only really keep the loose logs on top from bouncing out.
Problem is you just can't see the top of the load when you throw the wrappers over. 99% of the time you're dealing with full length logs but once in a while the loaderman might try and sneak short logs on in order to get them off the landing. A lot of the time they'd trap them inside the bundle of long logs but the odd time they might toss a couple up top to fill in a load.Bud A., Doealex, blairandgretchen and 1 other person Thank this. -
Welcome to Georgia.
Stay waaaaay away from log trucks and only a little more from containers.Bud A., Badmon, Flat Earth Trucker and 2 others Thank this.
