New guy needing advice. Millis or Wilson Logistics

    I'm trying to make a final decision between the two of them.

    I'm not asking anyone to run either company down but if any has experience with either company and wouldn't mind sharing it, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

    I would pick millis. Just cuz wilson hauls a lot for prime an i wouldn't want anything to do with all that. Just so ya know millis was bought up by Heartland Express but still operates as their own company. I've talked to millis drivers and they were very happy there.

    Thank you. I'm sticking with Millis. Wilson Logistics really appeals to me because of the Western United States is where I love to be but too many people keep saying Millis and I'm going to listen.

    I drove for Millis for 4 yrs before and after the Heartland buyout. Top notch. Not many complaints. Any questions feel free to ask me. Also several current and former drivers like myself still post in the Millis thread on here feel free to ask questions there too.

    The only thing that has really caused any delay in my decision is I am not a fan of the per diem but that seems like they push you hard, that way. I prefer straight pay due to social security and workers comp issues, if necessary. Taking a penny or two is one thing but that seven cents seems steep, regardless of the vacation policy, but that's the only issue I have found that gave me pause.
