NewWell they are saying the fuel pump needs to be replaced as well as the fuel module. Which is fine but then they want to drop the tanks and clean out the tanks and make sure no metal is in the tanks and making it through to the new pump and fuel module. If they drop the tanks it’s a $9200 hit. I’m wondering if I can get away with just replacing the fuel pump and the fuel module. Keep in mind the check engine light came on and westopped the truck within 100 miles at the weyer cavelocation in VA. Excel truck group. What to do.....

Which engine/truck?

On a Cummins ISX 15 fuel pump can take out the engine. Now that's what I call bad.
