How successful are they at it ?
For years they have been on a big effort to hire more drivers and years later they are still on a big effort to hire more drivers. Can’t seem to find enough drivers to fill there needs and just when when my company thinks we are caught up on our loads with them , they overbook us whith another big wave. It’s nice to be in America. Lots of things to do.

Have the rates really gone up? It seems like there are always a big carrier around to convince the bean counters to get rid of their in house drivers and let them do it. There is a large Soap Company in Ohio. They took the new company, the new company found out that it wasn't easy keeping all those plants supplied with raw material. After many plants were left with out material to operate the Person who made the switch was fired.

Two fairly large grocery dc’s near me have started doing power only. I’m not sure if it’s a problem finding drivers or a cost cutting measure.
I deliver to one of them this week and they had a lot of trucks sitting. -
Saving your money is one of the dumbest moves you can make, especially now. INVEST. Or at the very least, buy Silver/Gold if you want to 'save'.
