I saw on Indeed where Jacobus Energy is a local company that will hire drivers with no previous driving experience. The only thing is an applicant is required to have the Hazmat/Tanker endorsements. The position is also graveyard shift (6pm to 4am I believe, Wed-Sat) but that would suit me due to less traffic on the road.
However, I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews about them. They deliver fuel to various locations, and dragging the fuel hose is supposed to be rather laborious. Also, you drive to the site, deliver the fuel, then you’re gone to the next site and deliver fuel, and it’s pretty much a constant droll. However, this wouldn’t bother me, I wouldn’t think.
My biggest concerns are how much training do they provide and do drivers ever have any trouble finding the different locations. If they’re going to have someone ride with me for only 1 or 2 days and then put me out on my own, I probably shouldn’t apply. I’m just looking to get a year or two of experience (without having to go over the road), then I could find somewhere better. What are your thoughts on this company?
Anyone know anything about Jacobus Energy? (Jax Fl. location)

Take the job; they won't put you on the road with a load of fuel if you're not properly trained.

I saw it too. Applied but don’t have the endorsements. If you do, I actually have some questions about getting endorsements in our state! If you don’t mind.

I’m from Michigan and they had a job similar to this- mobile fleet fueling is what the guy told me . The way it was described was fueling fleets over night. They had a pretty consistent schedule and you got an extra 50$ a day just to hit so many gallons per hour. The manager was the recruiter and he made it a point that it wasn’t much driving involved but much more work. Beyond that idk
