@John Bertucci came back for one post in another thread yesterday. I asked him directly how he made out with the meth pipe in his truck incident.
Funny thing, he never answered.

Back in the 90’s I recovered a truck and went to jail for drug paraphernalia in the truck. Thought I checked it out really close. Got caught at a border patrol station by Van Horn TX. Driver stashed his drugs in the top of gear shift under the aluminum cap with shift pattern on it. Drug dog hit on the truck. Took my boss, lawyers and lots of money to get out of that. If I were ever a company driver again I would call police down with a K9 and run thru the truck. Before I drove it.

It's hard to believe that the Fed's would make such a big deal with something so petty not even worth the paperwork.
They usually are looking for poundage or tonnage unless you left something out..

No back in the 90’s they were aggressive and that’s when drugs were really prevalent in the industry. I mean hell who remembers carpet transport in GA. Aka cocaine transport. Before drug testing was mandatory. Pre FMCSA days.
They hammered everyone for the most part. It was needed

I think that drugs in vehicles are more prevalent than people think.

Back in the 90s my Navy base had it set up at the gate for people to bring in cars to get checked by the dogs. One time chance kind of thing.

I had bought a used car recently but had already been driving it to work for a month or so but I let them check it out. They found an old rotting joint under the ashtray in the center below the radio.

The older woman that I bought the car from had this car for years and didn't know she was transporting weed everyday she drove the thing. Either that or she forgot that she put it there lol.

I bought a 1976 nova four door off an old guy back in 1986. The old guy died within the month of me buying it. I had to go back to England so I parked the car without registering it. When I cleaned it out after my return, there were two bags of cannabis and a bag full of money stuffed behind the back seat. The old guy mentioned his grandson used the car often but now has a new car so he was selling it. The guys grandson was running drugs for someone and the grandson searched all over for the car without finding it, the old guy didn't know who he sold it to.

HA! Drugs were prevalent in the 90’s. You must have not been around in the 70’s.
