"Cloth masks aren't effective" makes me remember Jr High sex ed, which was basically "sex will ruin your life either thru an std or pregnancy, but if you're going to do 'it', use a condom". That was followed the next week in confirmation class a lecture from the pastor about how masturbation is evil and condoms are not effective so they shouldn't be used, just don't deliver inside her.

Are cloth masks the answer? No. Are surgical masks the answer? Better, but still no. Respirators? Yep, that'll do, but not quite practical.
