Thank you. Ive been trying to find this out for quite a while now. If you could find out what else he needed, im guessing just a tie rod and the steer knuckles that would most likely come on the axle I would really appreciate it.

Its crossed my mind. I dont know what all else would be involved in the swap if I did that. My truck already has abs, but not sure if the sensors would switch right over then the valving from the brakes. Ive heard changing out wheel seals and rotors is a pain in the arse too with disks.

Unless I bump my head and decide I want an older truck again I will never run anything but disks again. Yes wheel seals are a bit more involved because you have to pull the wheels off and then remove the caliper, but I’ve found with a newer truck that has the sleeve for the bearings that the bearings stay in adjustment better.

You know you can convert that crummy ag200 to the ag400. Then its bullet proof. What we always do is get on vander haggs website and purchase the ag400 suspension from the newest truck late model. Some are listed for about $750. Then the sway bars bolt right together with your old suspension. Prices can be all over on that website though depending which yard has them posted. So if you sometimes have to call and get them to match the other prices.

Even converting to a 400 it’s still a pos 8 bag that rides like a lumber wagon. It’s really the one thing I cannot stand about my truck but it’s slightly better then camelback or rubber blocks

I spent about 9 years in trucks with 8 bag. My old boss in MT ran larger airlines on everything on the backend so the air moved faster and they rode a lot better than stock. Some of the trucks also had dual leveling valves.

Dual leveling valves is the only way to go for air ride IMO.

The ag400 has large airlines. It's the ag100 that has the tiny airlines. All the 400 that I have driven seem to ride pretty good. The 100 is a much rougher suspension.

I thought about converting it, but the new parts are expensive then I still have to deal with the upper link arms too. Plus the rears that have 1.35 million miles on them. Figure just switch to something newer and better.
I have heard of the bigger lines making a difference too. Any idea what size the big lines are? I guess just the ones that go between all the air bags is what needs changed? I guessing the 200 has the small lines yet.
