Wondering if anyone has run into this problem.

2016 Cascadia, and I keep melting the headlight plug on the left side. I’m getting 36 volts at connector, but can’t figure out how. Wondering if anyone has any ideas? So far it takes about two weeks for the connector to go bad.

    Thanks,

    MS

Yeah something's screwy there. Not sure how you'd get 36 volts out of a 12 volt system? Are you sure you had the meter set to measure DC power and not AC? That can give you some really messed up readings.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure. My uncle is helping me, he seems to think I’ve got a bleed over of some kind, but where or how could I be getting 36 volts?

I dont know about the voltage but i had the same problem after upgrading lights on a fld.
Kept melting the plug, what i did is change the gauge of the wire to a heavier gauge as far back as i can go,problem solved
