LOL. In all seriousness, though, I always had my Xbox on the truck with me as well... although, when I was at Swift, they were willing to install an inverter in the truck just because I asked nicely. The one they used ended up being beyond overkill and a half... 5000 W inverter just to run an Xbox, a monitor, a laptop, and MAYBE a vacuum cleaner LMAO

Regular extension cord, cut it apart with the male plug end and about 12 ft of cord. Female end goes inside the cab. Male end goes from the outlet on the genny under the cab and up thru the hole. Push out the plastic hole cover, use a steak knife and cut straight up thru the spray foam layer 3 or 4 times. Itll be probably 3" max don't get crazy. First knife plunge go inside and figure out where it is. Then cut the star, and push the ext. Cord up thru. Strip the 2 ends and connect it back together with some wire nuts and electrical tape.
Use plenty of zip ties to loosely secure the portion of the wire underneath the truck. Not to snug and no tight corners or bends or you might wear, fray, or otherwise mess up the wire inside the sheathing. Inside the cab you should really get a power strip with it's own on off switch. Your game system has some sophisticated circuits and the inverter can potentially make voltage spikes on start up and shut down. Isolate your electronics from the spikes by always turning the power strip ON after the genny is running, and OFF before you shut down. Or before you run out of gas...
Just saying lol. I lived off grid before, ask me how I know about messing up electronics lol

Be sure to insulate any cable from chaffing and be sure to use a grommet. Fires have started from just running cords and wires they holes

Slow idle puts too much fuel into the cylinders and washes the walls down, causing wear. Idle it up and get a better burn, less unburnt fuel, better temperature, more oil pressure. Detroit recommends 900rpm then I think its 1200 below 32? I'd have to look at the manu again on the second one. If I'm just getting out I set mine close to 900. Always.
