Yup. Tuning, tuning, tuning. Parts are almost all interchangeable.

That makes almost no sense ..... to get a larger displacement engine with less torque than the smaller brother.....

I’d of like to been in the engineering meeting when this retarded idea was brought up....

By the way I think they will put a !X15 600/2050 in the FL... but the web site isn’t clear....

If you know how the fuel system works, then you get what I said, the derating flattens that curve. The fuel consumption curve is also effected and when it is derated, bhp/lb is reduced with it.

I am looking to get a cascadia with the dd13 rated for 470hp. There is also the same truck with a 400hp dd15 for the same price. Can you educate me about the torque curve and fuel consumption

Open the hood of a shaker here and 80% chance it's the dd15. Same platform as the 13 & 16

I'm currently running a dd13. If any of percentage of on road use is hilly, and you run over 20k often I would get the dd15. After running the 2014 dd15, in my opinion the boss down graded me to the 2016 dd13.
But if when he runs me in the flats. Ive seen 8 mpg on a regular. Just to lose it all running up 77 or 80.

are you saying that a 470 hp dd13 will perform worse than a dd15 with 400 go in the hills? I have been curious about how this happens. I know that the dd13 has more hp and that’s just speed but how is the dd15 going to outperform it? That is a big margin of hp to me.

    thank you
