Eaton Fuller 10Sp manual
I adjust my clutch just fine; however when the truck is sitting for few weeks the clutch need adjustment again. How can that be?
I set it for like 2 inches free play before it engages on the pedal then later it goes to 5 to 6 inches of play without driving the truck.
Clutch question

Make sure the adjuster pops back out after turning. Push in to adjust.
Your also adjusting it wrong. Set to 1/2 " gap throwout bearing to brake.MIg25, Dino soar, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this. -
Make sure the bushings, and linkage doesn’t have play in it. Maybe even check Cab bushings, and motor mounts. Mine was inconsistent before I replaced everything.

Disclaimer I am not a professional mechanic by any means. It has been my experience that worn motor cushions will greatly effect your clutch linkage geometry. Just a thought.
Rideandrepair and MIg25 Thank this. -
I am not sure I understand what you saying, could you please elaborate?
Thanks
I think I got it. This one here?

When turning the adjuster clockwise to adjust the throwout will move back toward the trans after letting the pedal up. Adjust until the gap between the bearing and the clutch brake is 1/2". You are done with internal adjuster.
Next check the fork gap with pedal up full. Adjust external linkage to 1/8" fork gap to bearing. Your freeplay should then be at 1-1/2 to 2-1/2" when done.
If your linkage is in good shape and greased only internal will be needed on most adjustments.Rideandrepair, spsauerland, pushbroom and 2 others Thank this. -
Ok, I am still having issues with this clutch. I adjusted it fine last week, the hight was just fine, I drove the truck only in the yard I park it.
Then one week later, try to drive it again, the clutch is so low that when I am able to engage reverse, the truck moves on reverse even if I am pressing the clutch all the way down.
I dont understand why the settings/adjustment changes even if I am not driving the truck.
OMG it is driving me crazy, I cant get this fixed!Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
