You show up for work on time, the guys who can't show up on time will start hating. If you are competent at your job, the incompetent will start hating. If you bring your A Game every time you play, everyone who cannot bring their A Game to every game will began to hate.
Haters will watch everything you do, pay attention to every detail, and wait patiently so as to take you down. The better you are, the more haters will hate. I'd stick with the vampires and continue doing what you do. If you do decide to go daywalker, keep your business YOUR BUSINESS. Hide all of your facebook stuff (if you do that stuff). No one needs to know your marital status or your wife's name. No one needs to know if you drink or the name of your favorite watering hole.
"But Six, they're pretty good guys."
Not all of them.
Luck in battle.
Days or stay nights?

Nobody is your friend on days lol especially to the new guy. Be weary of the overly friendly ones. Suck ##### and tattle tales

My answer was, "If this place every votes in a union, I'll be the first to quit."
I found out who it was, so just put him on "shunning" mode, which means he no longer exists. That's something I learned from a Mennonite.
That driver was fired shortly thereafter for falsifying his time card.Radman, G13Tomcat, TripleSix and 1 other person Thank this. -
we leave our paperwork in a basket that gets picked up at the end of the week so the next day they can see where I went. I’m typically one of the last ones back because I like to work and dispatch picked up on it.. we’re only scheduleD 4 days a week and I’m in 6. And the running joke is “so when’s your next off day?” . As far as the guys on days we have 9 and I have 6 of their phone numbers and #### chat with them when I’m getting back to the yard. We do have some lazy drivers and it’s already been established that I’m not one of them in the short time I’ve been here. But I just had a talk with all of the drivers and the main concern I heard was less money. Night we get work wether the price changes or not where as days if the price goes down after 6 they get sent home early.Radman, G13Tomcat, Lumper Humper and 1 other person Thank this. -
I love night driving but I'm flatbed so I have little choice in the matter. Ive actually considered going dry van to focus on night driving but I like my skateboard to dammed much.
TripleSix Thanks this. -
How do people get the encouragement to talk about someone they've never even met, I have no idea. It's weird to me. But OK.
I have a solid worker on my truck right now. And the kid on my truck before him who is driving for someone else right now was a good kid too. I think he lurks here sometimes. -

There used to be only Me, Monfort and Bull haulers that would drive at night. Now it's a bunch of tards that can't find their low beam switch and JUST HAD to install those super obnoxious mis-aimed LEDs for headlights.
Speed_Drums Thanks this. -
when I get stuck somewhere I like to try and go out and see the city I am stuck in and see what is happening in the area, and you know, just try to make the most of things and enjoy life. I get the comment frequently from my partners that they have never had a working mate do that. They just go to sleep.
My response to that, well if you want to sleep, you can. But have you ever seen Indianapolis? It might not be the greatest city on Earth, but you can either come see a few things with me or sleep and not see anything. I'm an introvert but I'd like to have you along if you want to go.
That's if I am not too tired I just fall asleep which is usually the case, but you know. I try when the occasion opens up.Speed_Drums and TripleSix Thank this.
