    I hope someone can give me an answer I opened a Company LLC five years ago. I bought a truck my boyfriend is the one that is driving the truck. Everything is running find he is looking for buy another truck so he is asking me if I can sell the Company name to him so he can get his DOT and work under his own authority I don't have any problems to do that. The question is it will better for me to add him as a partnership or if it is better for me to get out and give to him the Company rights? The other question is if something happened with the truck who is responsible the Company that I rent the truck for or me?

    Yeah, I know a guy that did something similar with his company, not a trucking company. As soon as his faithful, BFF employees, got 51% of the company, they fired him with no warning.

    If you're still paying for the truck, you better just partner with him. Otherwise he may leave you high and dry if you sell your LLC to him, and if something happens to the truck, he has obligations to it. It wouldn't surprise me if the boyfriend is brewing up something here.
