I recently had a bad experience with my Trunorth warranty. My check engine light came on just outside of Cheyenne Wyoming and within an hour I had my truck at the kenworth dealership. They did the diagnosis and said the Knox sensor had gone bad.Ok I’ve got it covered under warranty let’s get it fixed. So the truck gets fixed and still no answer from Trunorth. Now I arrived at the Dealership around 12:30 or 1:00 that day,at 10:30 at night I find out the the claim was denied. So it cost me $1,205.00 for a sensor that should have been covered under warranty. The diagnosis showed the sensor had been going bad for 21 hours and had knocked 6 times,My question is how in the hell am I supposed to know a sensor is going bad. There had been no changes in the performance of the truck it was running great even when the check engine light came on.This is another warranty company that takes your money an finds away to not pay anything out. This whole situation is a total rip-off by Trunorth warranty and you should probably try to avoid this Company.I’ve been driving fo 28 yrs and I know Companies like Trunorth warranty usually try to work for the truckers not against.A very sad company and they need to be looked into

All it takes is a quick search on here to see that 9 times out of 10 aftermarket warranties are a waste. You'd get more out of burning that wad of cash for heat in the winter.

It's not a warranty, it's an insurance policy. Never saw one that was worth a crap.

The only decent or real warranty is from The OEM.

I've heard of guys getting stuff fixed with aftermarket warranty, but I know on two issues I had with my truck, neither were covered.

    buddyd157 and Brettj3876 Thank this.

    My Father used to say:
"That's how we learn, or NOT."
Don't waste your money on a add on warranty. Dead thread or not. It's better to see someone else step in a bear trap. Than you to do it yourself.

when ever i buy a brand new vehicle, be it a sedan or pick up truck, i usually do but the factory OEM extended waranty. that cost of doing so, saved me a repair bill later.

but i am thinking the o/p bought a USED truck and bought this 3rd party warranty.

i'd be thinking he either wanted to protect his investment, or was cajoled into buying it against his better judgement.
