I got a ticket for driving in the median. Yup, dumb. You know I-40, middle of the desert, HUGE dirt median, tried to creep past a vehicle fire. Redirected back over. As I was waiting with several other drivers, CHP (young kid that probably wants to make a name), shows up and starts taking names. Guilty? Yes. Does he really need to enforce it? No. Oh, it was the end of the month so....
Anyhow, cant seem to get a bead on an answer.
AZ CDL which in AZ you cant do driving school. But the ticket is in CA, and non CMV. Can I do driving school?
Anyone else experienced this?
CA driving school? AZ CDL, non CMV

"kid shows up and starts taking names"? Did he actually witness this? At any rate, I would fight this ticket. As I would any ticket that could affect my CDL.
Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
no you can't. law was passed around 2017

"Young Kid shows up". Was he 14 on a Moped or a CA CHP in a cruiser? No need to disparage the law officer. If he was a CHP officer, i doubt he was a "KID".
If you feel the need, fight it in court. If the officer did not witness the incident, you probably walk.
Who directed you to stop and wait? Another law officer or a fireman?
And what was the infraction on the ticket? Is it a moving violation? If not, it will not affect your CDL. -
The median is for emergency vehicles or authorized venicles or itcan be used if you have an emergency. You have no case to argue.
Bean Jr. Thanks this.
