They get a semester worth of training on the basics, ie interactions and how they work. They spend the rest of their time learning how to diagnose and which broad category to prescribe. -

Great post. I'll admit to kinda rushing sometimes while empty, running to the next load. Kind of like how you felt as a kid, after walking home with a heavy back pack, and dropping it. Light and free.
But in the morning when I put the backpack- or load on- I make my coffee, make my bed, put on my boots I polished the night before, and get my game face on. If I get in a tight spot, I've got zero problems pulling the brakes, hitting the 4 ways, and GOAL- I don't care who I hold up. Us professionals have to hold to a standard, otherwise we not only can hurt others, but lose who we are.shawnhhllc, TripleSix, Gearjammin' Penguin and 1 other person Thank this. -
I just read through this again and thought it would be worth commenting on so it's back on the front page and not buried. There's some good info here.

Great thread for sure. Lots of good info. My mentor told me “don’t worry about being in all the others way (to a degree). Drive your rig”. They will go around. be healthy rested and wise. If there’s any doubt or a single thought in your mind check it and stay sharp and focused. Set the brakes and goal.
I’m barely getting my feet wet compared to some of you legends in here. I take my time and if it takes three hours on site then that’s what it is. I work the most efficient way and quickly but I don’t rush
I learn good things in here amongst you heavy hitters that have been around.PNwMtFlwr, cke, kemosabi49 and 2 others Thank this.
