How does your company monitor driving?

So I have a question, mostly every big truck company is on some kind of device or driver monitoring software. That software scores "hard breaks", "hard turns", "speeding" etc etc.

The company I work for, they give us 4 miles over the posted speed limit leeway and then the electric baby sitter starts logging you as a speeder. Now the old system we had the posted speed limit didn't so much matter as it was are you going over the trucks governor.

I get passed up all day and night by everyone. So my question is for you guys who work for some of the faster companies, do you dinged for going over the posted speed limit or do you get dinged for going over the trucks governor?

 

Challenge accepted LOL! I bet you'll pass me lol! Where I work we literally have the slowest trucks on the road. 63 at the pedal and 65 on cruise and if the load is heavy they really struggle.

 

That's who we use now. And I bet each company has there own specifics. See today I was on a 55 mile an hour road where none of the cars or trucks were doing 55 they were all going much much faster and I was trying to hold it back the best I could while getting tail gated by a heavy haul flatbed truck carrying a big Cat D10 Bull Dozer and he really couldn't pass and I didn't really think it was an ideal situation. Where it dings you for the speed limit I really had to hold back, problem is everyone has a different 55 miles an hour. Same way size 36 jeans very from pants manufacturer to pants manufacture.

I see, Estes 55 miles per hour isn't the same as Werner's 55 miles per hour which isn't the same as Saia's 55 miles per hour.

 

Oh then in that case, will be neck and neck, but I bet your truck pulls better then mine LOL!
