air tank pressure high pressure

    this is on a international single axle dump truck. air tank 1 is going to a high pressure, 150 plus. tank 2 is around 120. any ideas on why tank 1 is going to such a high pressure? it just started doing this

    Adjusted the governor?

    I’m guessing secondary air systems are leaking enough to only reach 120, while primary tank holds the governed pressure.

    What pressure was ‘normal’ prior?

    normally they both went to 120. i haven't made any changes and now #1 goes to 150 plus. i did accidentally pull the lever on right hand of steering column " not for braking"

    Completely drain the system and see if #1 also returns to zero. I would say a bad gauge. They are only mechanical and do fail. (you didn't mention your model or year). If the #1 gauge doesn't return to zero when empty, it is just a bad gauge.

    Like @blairandgretchen and @Heavyd I say bad gauge. There should be a safety ”pop-off” valve that releases the psi if it gets too high. Not sure what International spec would be but I’d think if it truely got above 140 it should pop off at that or at most 150.
