Snackbar's new adventure at Moore Freight Services

I honestly hope that this whole continous never ending string of problems not only cripples Wylie, but financially wounds Daseke as well. Maybe they'll learn that it would have been smarter to replace the defective management of the specialized glass carrier, then merge the glass division of the other carrier with that specialized glass carrier.

 

Finally got out of Church Hill by noon. They put the wrong trailer number on the b/l. They put the same number on there as another trailer loaded Saturday going to FL. So, I had to go thru the glass with my packing list and verify the right product was on my trailer before leaving. And they put just about as much glass on this trailer as we can haul on a We-lie flatbed...I grossed 79920 with 3/4 tanks. Then, this morning I get greeted with a msg from my DM asking what trailer I have. I guess this whole McLeod dispatch system is totally f'd. When I looked at my Peoplenet, it was showing a trip I did from last week...when I pulled up my workflow...it had 5 trips on there, and 2 were on there twice...(I should only have 2, my current load and my next load). So I had to spend 15 min this a.m. clearing out old trips(you can't just delete them, you have to walk thru them like you do when you arrive at the next destination). This whole merger is an epic fail. Daseke should do to Wylie what they did to Moore, only merge them with someone that knows what the #### they're doing.

 

This load is absolutely cursed. Get to the delivery, talk to the receiver...tells me he doesn't have room for the load. A Maverick was in the door getting unloaded, but his load was suppose to have been rescheduled until tomorrow, but they didn't realize that he was the rescheduled load until I showed up...now they're trying to find a place for our glass.

Oh, and the clowns running running this 3 ring circus of a trucking company finally came to their senses about swapping trailers. Turns out I am picking up jumbos, and they now have me swapping trailers in Rossford. Told my DM, that after he told me not to on Friday, I was going in and letting them put jumbos on a flatbed, then calling in for an oversize permit for a 15' tall load. He was not amused.

I honestly won't miss this one little bit after I tell them bye-bye.

 

Got in and out of Carleton in a reasonable time. Thanks to the long unload time from the last load, the extra time swapping trailers and an abundance of construction coming across the OH turnpike, I was about 30 min past my scheduled pickup time, but they weren't all that busy with live loads, just a bunch of Maverick preloads. Managed to make it to the Love's on I-280 by 20:15 with 15 min on my 14, and to my surprise, found multiple parking spots available. Still have to be in Covington at 6 am Weds, but it's 700 miles from here. I think I can manage 700 in 24 hrs.

Oh, and I woke up and checked my Peoplenet this morning, and I had extra, old trips on my workflow again. 2 were from last week again. I really don't know what is going on, not sure if it's Peoplenet or the Mcleod system f'g up...but this is getting annoying.

 

Mark this date on the calendar...nothing went wrong for me today, and nothing pissed me off. It was a rare day indeed!!!!!
