    My trans suddenly started to stall when shifting off the start at a light or turning onto on ramp and when it stalls for a split second the rpm shoots up and then back down and it shifts... what is causing this!? Also when it shifts into different gears, is it supposed to be quiet and smooth or is a little clicking noise between gears during shifting normal!?

    I-shift supposed to be changing gears quietly and smoothly. Clicking and noise are signs of the problem. Next thing you will notice that some gears will start making excessive noise constantly while driving (not just changing into gears). Had my transmission replaced by the dealership under warranty few years ago.

    I just changed trans oil and filter and it’s gotten much better but still sticks in gears here and there... was told it could possibly be improper pressure in trans from air and or oil... any suggestions to avoid a costly trans replacement!!!??

    you will need to get it scanned. any codes? does your brake pedal come all the way up?

    Yes brake pedal comes up all the way and no codes at all

    Who has scantool in southside of Chicago, like oak lawn Illinois alsip Illinois, can anyone refer a reliable knowledgeable honest mechanic in that area that i can take my truck to?
