I-81 NB,Mile Marker 87 In Virginia-2 Dead

Certainly no surprise. What a shame.

 

I passed that headed southbound shortly after it happened yesterday. It was gnarly. That pic of the BRAR? truck above has to be at least one of the fatalities. It wasn't all trucks though. There were a couple of cars sandwiched in between some trucks.

I went back by northbound this afternoon and there was a wrecker still picking up the last trailer, folded in the middle, full of Mtn. Dew it looked like.

The back up was over 15 miles.

 

There was a youtube video of the other side of that wreck, it appeared that it had just happened because the emergency vehicles were just pulling up. The person with the camera wasn't speaking english so I don't know if he was involved or just a witness, but that blue Volvo's cab was crushed all the way to the sleeper on both sides.

i came threw there this morning. yellow truck was still on the shoulder. i thought it broke in half. it was full of drinks. the tandems were missing

 

Two dead.Probably more injures.People are driving at tremendous speeds nowadays. Its all you can do to avoid this.Always drive defensively.please

 

I live off exit 118 on I-81 N and a buddy of mine literally just missed that wreck by 5 minutes.

 

Some of these guys come on here and wonder why they're getting 24k dollar a year premium quotes as new entrants these days.
