Agreed. And I wouldn't expect the family to come back and repost again if they truly lost their son. Why rehash the feelings or what more would they say? They are probably grieving and will be for a long time. The whole thing is just unfortunate.

could be...could also be the son had other issues, like maybe a jilted lover.??? and when he spoke of Marten, the family blames the company for his suicide.

for so many others to get such letters, (as was mentioned here) and still be living, speaks volumes of the kid that off'd himself

depressed for any number of other reasons. having that letter from the jerk at the company, at his side at time of death, sparked "assumptions" the jerk owner was the one and only cause of the suicide.

far too many times, suicides do not have many reasons why they do what they do.

 

Not wishing ill on anyone, but this isn’t the first time this subject has come up. I heard about him doing this letter writing 15 years ago. I can’t say if what he wrote to this person was the one thing that made him finally snap and commit suicide, but let’s say it is, if Randy Marten is in poor health on top of some mountain in Colorado, then karma is a ##### and one could only hope he suffers.

 

I would reply to Martin with some used pieces of toilet paper, stuffed in an envelope.

1) thier crap don't stink

2) they think they crap ice cream

3) think that they are better than anyone else on this planet

4) he puts his pants on 2 legs at a time

5) when he sweats, he doesn't get B.O. he gets Lavender fresh arm pits

6) when he eats beans, he does not fart, he does an "oopsie"

7) thinks he does not have to shave everyday like a normal MAN does, cuz he had elecrolosysis

8) buys all his clothes from Ralph Lauren, Polo, and Northface

9) eats only the best of the best meats

10) does not brush or floss his own teeth, he has a dental hygenist on staff.

when the reality of it is..

when he was younger, he mashed a few trucks/trailers himself, who knows, at his age now, maybe he mashed his Rolls a time or two

he's not any better than anyone else, although he would have fired employees think that he is thier GOD, perfect in every way.

his day of reckoning is quickly approaching, its only a matter of time till he drops dead, maybe behind the wheel of his Rolls Royce, by rear ending one of his own trucks.

people like him sicken me to no end.

Joseph will be waiting for him at the pearly gates, and will ask him, "do you want forgiveness for ALL your sins"?

to wit he will say....."uh, well, you know, you did rear end someone in that T/A truck stop, back in the year 12AD, you stink as a driver, don't you rememebr i told you that in the letter i sent you???"

to wit Joseph will say..." then you go straight to hell"........

 

WOW......this thread reminds me of another little nasty company called McLeod that I worked for a few years ago.....

 

We drove fir that company and I will not go into all the horrible details but they have fired MANY good people and have caused many to quit..my husband drove for them fir 14yrs and they treated him and all the dtivers who had been there a long time like crap..Randy is evil period

Way back when I thought I might want to work for Marten.
Back when his father ran the outfit it was a decent place to work I believed. Late 1970s thru the 80s.
Nice trucks doing w coast turns.
Decided to get on with Pirkle freight then Raymond Cossette instead, both of which are defunct and now Marten is more like a mega or training company.
