I'm picking up a brokered load on Sunday and we were chatting about the current market. He said he can't get any O/O's to take loads more than 2 days in advance. Said that he called a driver in LA this morning for a load to the east coast. The driver said that he wouldn't consider it for less than $9,000 and the broker said the best he could do was $8500. The driver hung up on him. He said when the rates eventually flip, it's going to be a blood bath. Make as much as you can now and save, save, save.

 

Don’t ever let her know otherwise.

If you have a short week camp out at the library for a night or 2 than roll around under the truck and a ditch right before you walk through the door .

Nice day here in Chicago land too. The little cool down did good for my lawn. I will walk around today and pull out the darn crabgrass. Then I have a patch of clover to figure out what to do with. I heard that clover should not be considered as a weed but I must have heard it from a horse mouth. Otherwise, I am glad the rates have been "ok" lately. It helped not to feel as much pain when I had to cough up 6 grand for the the second installment of the C(r)ook County property taxes for my house and rental condo.
Who do you think is paying for all the damage done during Floyd protests? Yeah ... neighborhoods like mine.
