Today I noticed a small drip from the fuel pump. It appears to be coming from the plate on the rear of the pump, down low. What might the issue be?

It drips about, 1 drip every 15 seconds.

I crawled underneath and saw an Allen screw that I’m sure has a rubber or copper gasket on it. I’m thinking it’s coming from it but not sure.

Did notice it’s been a tad slower to start on initial start up. That being said, before I could just barely bump the key, in any weather and it’d start and run perfectly smooth.

That plate with four bolts around it is a pulsation damper. Probably just dried up o-rings. There is a diaphragm in there also. Easy work even if you have to pull the pump. Replace anything that could leak while you are there.
They say the change to ultra low sulfur fuel has nothing to do with this. These type problems have been very common to me the last year.spsauerland, blairandgretchen and mile marker 27 Thank this.
