Trucker Suing Bass Pro For Injury

I think this accident could have been prevented had he had the guidance of some old timer.

 

typical it's not our problem, it's yours. I have encountered this so many times with Furniture loads. TQL almost didn't pay me because dude made a count error and said it wasn't his fault and was mine. He re-counted and found the missing furniture that was in fact damaged because people loading it just threw it in there.

 

I hate to tell you driver but u took all responsibility for that load when u signed the BOL saying it was in good condition. The only case u got is if it was a sealed trailer.

 

The dude is just now suing for an incident that happened in 2016?

 

Sounds more like he should have filed for workmans comp, IMHO

 

Sounds like a bunch of he said, she said. For all we know he could have caused a load shift enroute.

 

that's what i am thinking as well. in my state, there IS a time frame to file for w/c.

then, once you do, again in MY state, you cannot sue anyone

i have been thru at least one w/c claim in my life, so i can ONLY speak from the law in MY state.

further, like someone else said, "you sign it, you own it"

he could have asked to exam the load, before it was sealed, or he could have asked to inspect it, and they break the seal and re-seal it.

 

Sounds like another phony case.
