    Two things?

First I how many places did you ask this question?

Maybe the admins should merge all of them together.

Second is where are you getting coolant in?

    The fuel water separator?

    I would just rebuild it.

I would just get the rebuild. Might be jumping the gun, right now. Maybe injector cups, and further investigation. The engine may have another 300-500k left before an inframe. I’d hate to swap it out , only to have to throw more money at the newer engine. Prices. Seem high, for a used engine. I’d rather keep everything original. Eventually trade up for a Truck with desired specs.

My mistake, no price on engine yet. I guess it all depends on the costs either way.

My 2014 389 ISX has 587,000 on the clock. It uses no oil or antifreeze. It’s currently running like a champ. It won’t, however, make it to 590,000 because........ 3C7C2983-97EB-4AA5-A4A4-2EA18E20630B.jpeg 39F846E1-D093-4165-A242-4FA457B335AC.jpeg

Your coolant in the fuel filter problem is an easy fix. Cummins has these “bandaids” for the injectors that work really well. My mechanic installed mine fast and cheap.

Put a Cummins ReCon (570) in A little over 3 years ago. $22,500 delivered to my house. Came with everything including a new wire harness. Haven’t touched it other than oil changes and yearly overhead. Installed it myself in under 2 weeks, painted the frame and a bunch of other stuff while the engine was out.

I was nervous going this route but, no regrets 3 yeas later 17BCF445-A0C3-469C-84C0-6C4AA1DB35DA.jpeg 17A34A41-6295-435E-8E87-87FAEEEFB091.jpeg
