    Hey everybody,
I got stuck on a Ford F750 with the Cat C-7 in it. Has a no start issue, found out it was like 3 gallons low on oil, which we topped off. This is NOT a HEUI system. My filter is full and I have good pressure at the hand primer. Tried starting it with either. Chugged a little but never really ran. Oil leaks all over the engine, and coolant level was low. topped off coolant, but didn't help. Also has no check or stop engine lights and while I am able to hook up to the ECM, the engine itself does not come up, only brake and transmission on 9 pin heavy duty hook up and only Ford body module on the OEM plug. So, not able to even see what the engine is doing, or receiving. Google is no help, I have to be too specific for it to be. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Even though from what you explained your problem is not HEUI related, how is this C7 not a HEUI system?

    BoxCarKidd and p608 Thank this.

There are 2 fuel delivery systems for this truck, HEUI and ACCERT common rail.
It’s the ACCERT system, so I knew it wasn’t a HEUI issue.

I’ve dealt with a HEUI system no start, I have NOT dealt with this ACCERT system.
Not sure if I have a pump, solenoid, or ECM issue. Was hoping for some input from someone familiar with this system.

So,even though I can't get any answers, here's an update: I wanted the boss to send the HPFP out for testing, he ordered a new one and had me install it. Wasn't the issue. With not being able to read the engine ECU, I did notice there was a code on the trans ECU, checked it, came up as trans ECU couldn't detect engine ECU. Pulled both plugs off of engine ECU and found oil wicking into the plugs from the wiring which was coated. Boss had me pull ECU and we took to Cat for testing. It came back fine. Not sure where to go from here. Also, boss came up to me and tells me customer told him Friday that something like 3 weeks ago the truck had a fire on the right side of the engine compartment, after they got the fire out, they couldn't get the truck started. Said they changed one of the numerous egt sensors (one at the front of the turbo(?)) and that it started right up. I really don't think that that sensor could keep it from starting could it?

Your going to struggle working on this engine without CAT ET and access to OEM service information. Wash your hands and tow it to someone that knows the product.

Sorry to be dissappointing, just keepin' it real.
